How to use the cemetery as a resource in your own family genealogy work.

Cemeteries offer many unique sources of information for genealogists. Beyond the information carved in stone, see how you can access and learn from common cemetery records, make research requests and contribute to cemetery research projects.

Tombstone Tuesdays

Join us April through August for a digital and in person monthly lunch and learn event. Bring your lunch to the cemetery or tune in from your desk as we explore cemetery history and deathcare.

Starting at 11am at the cemetery and online

Presentations will be about a half hour with additional time for questions and in person attendees will be treated to a short walk to a section or grave pertinent to the monthly topic.

Attendees will receive their link via email to the zoom presentation a week before the event. Zoom Attendance is assumed for all RSVPs.

If you are interested in attending in person please reach out via email (bri@historicoakwood.com) as in person seating is limited.
