Oakwood Cemetery Roads CLOSED AM Day of the Dead 5k

If you’ve ever wanted to run a 5k through our grounds, be sure to sign up for the Day of the Dead 5k, benefitting the Brentwood Boys and Girls Club- https://dayofthedeadrun.com/
Our grounds will be closed from 9am-12 noon while the runners (of all ages) run from down town Raleigh and through the Cemetery. Once the last runner exits, we will open our gates.
We do not schedule funerals for the morning of the run. If you would like to visit your loved ones during the time the gates are closed to vehicular traffic and are unable to walk in to visit, staff will have golf carts to take you to their grave.
Join us for the 10th anniversary of this great run for charity!
We are always looking for volunteers to help us at water stations and to direct the runners. If you’d like to volunteer be sure to contact Robin at robin@historicoakwood.com
