Josh was born and raised on a small farm in Southcentral Kentucky. He married Neisha in 2004 and they are foster parents. They moved to Wake Forest, North Carolina in 2010 after living all across the Southeastern United States. Josh is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a degree in Horticulture and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity and Master of Theology. He enjoys reading, playing guitar, watching baseball and basketball, and taking beach trips with Neisha and his foster child. He and his wife attend Faith Baptist Church in Youngsville, North Carolina.
