DESCRIPTION:Join Oakwood Cemetery the second Thursday of the month for a Stroll Through History \nThis free community event is an informal tour of Historic Oakwood Cemetery covering different topics each month. This monthly event is intended to appeal to first time and dedicated visitors alike. \nAttendees will explore a new section of the cemetery each month. Your guide will share new research as well as old stories not told on our more structured tours. \nStroll through history is a small group tour\, last minute changes to curriculum and route to meet group interests and ability are expected and welcome. \nWhat to bring:\n– Water\n– Weather appropriate clothing\n– Questions about local history\, the cemetery\, and the death industry. \nIf you have any questions\, concerns or if you would like to schedule a private tour for you and/or your family please contact Brianna McCormick at bri@historicoakwoodcemetery.org or by phone 919-832-6077.
